Pitch Session: Rules and Regulations.
1) The pitch session will commence at 1:30pm and end at 5:30pm on Friday the 22nd of October 2010 in BMCC 8th floor.
2) The sound and 3D students shall take part and vote in the pitch session, pending the BMCC's approval for space.
3) The pitches will be given in English.
4) The students vote on the 4 films that they want made ( 1 vote per film )
5) Students cannot vote on their own films.
6) The voting will be anonymous.
7) There is no restriction on the form or length of the pitch. ( within reason )
There will be between 4 and 5 faculty members voting on the films and they have 2 votes per film.
9) The faculty members taking place so far are as follows: Daniel Katz, Marc Masciandaro, Conor Stratton, Rory Haines.
10) The students have a week to pick their crew after Fridays voting.
11) Directors who are voted in select their own Producer, Cinematographer, Art Director, Sound Designer, Sound Recordist, 1st AD and Script Supervisor along with Make-up, Wardrobe and Casting Director.
12) Producers select there own production team: Line Producer, Production Manager, PA's, Catering etc.
13) Cinematographers select their Camera Operator, Gaffer, Key Grip, 1st and 2nd AC.
14) Gaffers and Key Grips select their G&E team including Best Boys and Dolly Grips.
15) The Key positions that cannot be filled by the same person on two different films ( unless no one wants to do it ) are: Director, Producer, Cinematographer, 1st AD, Camera Operator.
16) The order of the pitches are being decided in class by competitions; this will be decided before Friday.
17) If there is a tie the faculty will cast a deciding vote.
