Hey All
I hope everyone had an enjoyable night last night; which was hard earned. I just want to express my gratification and respect for all the 16 directors who pitched yesterday.
It was not an easy thing to do at all, and required nerves of steel. Whether you were selected or not you all crossed a personal threshold and should be proud of that.
In other news; here are the official crew positions that the Directors, Producers and DP's should be looking for: ( The positions in Bold can only be performed once )
1) Producer
2) Director
3) Cinematographer
4) Art Director ( Can be from outside School )
5) Line Producer
6) 1st AD
7) 2nd AD
Production co-ordinator
9) Camera Operator
10) 1st AC
11) 2nd AC
12) Gaffer
13) Key Grip
14) Script Supervisor/Continuity
15) Casting Director
16) Best Boy Electric
17) Best Boy Grip
18) Electric
19) Grip
20) Make-up/Hair ( Can be from outside school )
21) Sound recordist
22) Boom
23) Sound Designer ( Can be more than 1 person )
24) Effects Supervisor ( From Sup info class, can be more than 1 person )
25) Editor
Any additional places are for Catering/Craft services and general PA's (Production assistants ).
We will have a special class next Friday the 29th of October to finalize the crew positions etc.
Please choose carefully. Remember, your friends aren't always the right people for the job.
I will be speaking to Thomas shortly to discuss which films will be shot during the first week and subsequently which will be during the second week. I know this will effect crew positions so I hope to resolve this today.
Just in case anyone needed reminding, the 4 films that were selected are:
1) The Woman with Four Faces - Robin Boespflug.
2) Fantasy - Jeremy Trequesser.
3) Chip - Arthur Tabuteau.
4) On the Other Side - Livia Blanc.
