There seems to be some confusion regarding the groups for the production workshops; let me explain.
We will now be dividing the groups into the four main crews: Fantasy, OTOS, 4Faces, and Chip.
The 15 minute films are now taking priority but that doesn't mean we can't still discuss the 3 minute projects.
Having said that, the 3 minute projects are supposed to be exercises and for the most part you should be self-sufficient. We can still talk about any issues in class or via email.
In terms of who should come to the production workshops:
1) Director
2) Producer
3) DP
4) Production Manager
5) Production Co-ordinator
6) 1st AD
7) 2nd AD
Gaffer ( somewhat optional )
9) Camera Operator ( somewhat optional )
10 Script Supervisor
11) Art Director
12) Sound Designer
13) Sound Recordist
14) Casting Director
I know the crews have not been fully formed yet, so if you are not working on any films yet you can join in the following week.
I will be supervising Chip and 4Faces on set. Conor will take Fantasy and OTOS. I will do my best to do a few days on the other films if I can.
For tomorrow: Unfortunately I will be in Miami so Conor is going to take the Fantasy and OTOS groups. He is an experienced filmmaker who just Produced, Directed and Shot a feature so you will be in safe hands.
I will be sending out an email shortly in regards to the pre-production timeline for your 15 minute films. Please look out for it.
